Top Communication Apps Performance in Turkey Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top communication apps in Turkey showed diverse performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 200K and 295K, peaking at approximately 295K in the final week of December. The app also saw a steady stream of weekly active users, hovering around 68.9M to 69.1M throughout the quarter.

Telegram showed a notable trend in weekly revenue, with figures ranging from $68K to $104K, peaking at the start of the quarter. Downloads initially surged to 391K in early October before stabilizing between 150K and 190K for the remainder of the period. Active users showed a slight decline, ending the quarter at 26.3M.

Snapchat experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, culminating at around $41K by the end of December. Weekly downloads saw a boost towards the end of the quarter, reaching 202K. Active users mirrored this trend, increasing to 17.4M by the close of December.

Getcontact had consistent revenue figures, hovering around $81K to $93K. Downloads surged notably towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 205K in the last week. Active users fluctuated, ending with a slight increase to 5.8M.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. displayed stable performance with a slight increase in weekly downloads to 90K in early December. Revenue remained minimal throughout the quarter. Active users showed an upward trend, reaching 14.4M in December.
